Color Guidelines for Catalog Automation

Color Guidelines for Catalog Automation

Why Choosing the Right Colors Matters from the Start
When we begin creating your catalog automation design, it's important that you provide the exact brand colors you'd like to use. These colors will be applied to key elements in your catalog layout.

What Color Format Should You Provide?
Our platform supports screen-based color formats, so we recommend providing your brand colors in HEX codes: (Example: #0033A0)

Preparing for Print: What You Need to Know
Even though the catalog will be created digitally, many clients choose to print it. If that’s your plan, the final PDF will be in RGB format, which works for most basic printing needs. However, professional printers may ask for CMYK (a format designed for print).
If color accuracy in print is important to you, we recommend:
  1. Providing HEX values upfront
  2. Doing a test print after the first draft generation
  3. Using tools like Adobe Acrobat or InDesign to convert the PDF to CMYK if needed
