Steps to Embed Your Catalog
Step 1: Access Your DCatalog Admin Page
Log in to your DCatalog account to access your admin page.
On the dashboard, locate the edition you want to embed.
Click on the “Embed” button next to your edition.
Step 2: Generate the Embed Code
A pop-up box will appear with two tabs: “HTML Embed” and “HTML Masking.”
HTML Embed: For a simple embed code, use this tab. Click the “Copy” button to copy the code.
You can adjust the height of your catalog to fit your website's design needs.
HTML Masking: If you prefer to mask the domain and host the catalog on your server, use this tab. Click the “Download” button to get the necessary files.
Copy the Embed Code: If you’re using the “HTML Embed” option, simply copy the code provided.
Step 3: Embed the Catalog on Your Website
Log in to your Content Management System (CMS). Open the webpage where you want to embed your catalog in your editor or CMS (e.g., WordPress).
Switch to the “Text” view in your CMS editor.
Paste the embed code into the desired location on your webpage.
Save your changes by clicking the “Save Draft” or similar button in your CMS.
Troubleshooting Tips
Ensure the Embed Code is Correct: Double-check that you’ve copied and pasted the entire embed code correctly.
Any missing or extra characters can prevent the catalog from displaying.
Ensure the Edition is Active: Double-check that you’ve activated the correct edition that you intend to embed.
Check CMS Settings: Some CMS platforms might have specific settings that could interfere with embedded content. Make sure that your CMS allows HTML embedding.
Browser Caching: If you've made changes to your website and don't see them immediately, try clearing your browser cache or viewing the site in an incognito window.
