PDF Specs

  1. Upload a high resolution pdf
  2. All the pages must be merged in one continuous file
  3. The file needs to be a single page cropped, no double page spreads, and remove all crop marks if any
  4. All page sizes must be consistent with a maximum surface area of 400 square inches. No minimum size requirement, but best to keep above 5 inches width and height to ensure quality is acceptable when pages are viewed on larger screens.
  5. Recommended size for the PDF: 8.5x11. This is the most popular size.
  6. Other popular PDF sizes are: 8.5x8.5 and 11.
  7. All pages must be in the correct order. You will not be able to re-order the pages post upload.
  8. All pages must be in the same orientation, portrait or in Landscape mode.
  9. Please make sure your PDF is not secured or Password protected.
  10. Avoid text as images. Only use "real" fonts
  11. Embed all fonts in your publication - Use fonts that are installed on your system AND are permitted to be embedded.
  12. Avoid CID fonts if possible as they may not be extracted or displayed properly.
  13. Embedded Open Type Fonts (EOT) will not display at all on your digital edition. 
  14. Merge all layers and flatten all transparencies.
  15. Delete clipping paths when possible to avoid white ghost lines in your digital edition. 
  16. No embedded scripts, media(video/audio) or buttons will be maintained post upload to the system. 
  17. 300MB maximum file size
